History

After collectively working in the water industry for over 30 years with experience ranging from commercial/military diving to aeration land and digestor tank cleaning, the founders of MMP identified the problems faced by the water industry and set themselves the task of solving them. Water companies are required by their insurers to inspect and maintain their assets which can often prove difficult and costly - we aim to reduce costs and limit shutdown periods for this work whilst implementing the highest standards of safety.

With this in mind, MMP Marine & Inspection was born. Our aim was not to be the “jack of all trades”, but to offer effective and practical solutions to our clients’ problems. With our collective and varied experience across the industry, we knew we would be able to provide a service that was tailored entirely around the water industry and the unique issues it faces.

We wanted to guarantee that we would always be able to satisfy all of our clients’ needs and do so in a systematic and risk-free way. By knowing our clientele inside out, this is a promise we’ve been able to keep.

MMP was founded by two individuals passionate about making an authentic difference to the water industry; Robert Mason and Scott Miller.

Together, they have worked for over 30 years in some of the harshest underwater environments, both as firsthand divers and as client account managers. They’ve worked with some of the biggest names in the UK water industry, including Thames Water, Eight2O, Southern Water, Scottish Water and Barhale. They’ve built lasting relationships and gained unparalleled experience that has given them the ultimate insight into the bespoke needs of the water industry.

From serving on HMS Brocklesby for mine disposal across the UK coast to diving purely for water companies over a 30 year period, our founders know what it takes to deliver a service that delivers on all aspects of safety and sanitation whilst minimising any disruption to their clients’ operation.

Their aim is to provide a safe and reliable service focused on their clients’ needs.

G Stow – ROV surveys, Commercial Diving work

G Stow are water engineering and drilling specialists with over a century of experience. They are leading experts in geothermal drilling, boreholes and water wells and work with both public and private sector clients from concept to completion.

Thanks to our expert guidance, G Stow were able to recommission a borehole that had been out of use for 50 years.
